Our History

In 2008, Our CEO, Jesus Yanez was working as a field technical and found it interesting that they weren't doing all the repairs he thought were possible. He began participating in the repairs, and after only 8 months, he was the top technician in the company. All of this was achieved by teaching himself, watching videos and reading books, but this was not enough for him, so he decided to find another job to further his learning and career. After gaining a wide range of additional experience as a Shop Repair Technician at Rooms to Go and later with a company that repaired furniture as part of moving claims, Jesus decided it was time to start his own business. In 2015, THE PHOENIX FURNITURE WORKS was born in Austin, Texas. 

Jesus expected his business would primarily be moving claims, but to his surprise, the citizens of Austin are proud owners of family heirlooms and antique furniture. This gave him a new challenge to work with old furniture and make it look new again, which became his passion, a loving career, and a very satisfying job.

There are no words to describe seeing people's reactions and emotions when furniture thar has been in their family for years, even centuries, becomes new again - like a Phoenix, reborn from the ashes. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work with my customers and gain their trust. It goes far beyond a job; it's bonding with history, furniture, and my customers in a way that will stay with me forever.

Now here we are in the south Texas RGV area opening a new chapter on this amazing journey, looking forward to making contact with costumers and furniture. My vision and dream is that one day I can provide the same quality and passion on a larger industrial scale, all while continuing to expand my abilities and skills. I also hope to share my knowledge with younger generations and others who like to give furniture and life a second chance.
